Homemade Cranberry Sauce

2 pkgs fresh cranberries, if you had them frozen thats fine so were mine
1 cup sugar
1/4 cup water
Juice of 2 oranges, or very large tangerines
2-3 Tablespoons of sugar, to be used for extra sweetness if desired
Powdered sugar to make it look pretty, with occasional sweetness

In a large deep skillet or pot add in the ingredients except for the powdered sugar and the 2-3 tablespoons of sugar. Slowly cook over medium/low heat until the cranberries burst and the sauce is thick, about 35-45 minutes. Puree', blend or press through a sieve. Or leave it as is, looks prettier, depends on the pickiness of your eaters! Add the 2-3 tablespoons of sugar tasting as you do until it reaches desired sweetness. Serve on a pretty plate and sprinkle with powdered sugar.
Dip in and enjoy!
