Maple and Bacon Cupcakes
1 stick of butter, at room temperature
1/2 cup brown sugar
3 eggs
1/4 cup milk
4 tablespoons maple syrup
1 cup self-rising flour
1 pkg turkey bacon
Beat butter and brown sugar together, until creamy. Add the maple and eggs slowly. Add in the milk and flour. Brown up the bacon and cut about 6 slices into chunks and fold into the batter. Bake at 350* until golden brown.
Peanut butter and Jelly Cupcakes
The base recipe is the same as above. Replace the maple syrup for 6 tablespoons of P2B powdered peanut butter. And no need for the bacon. Bake the same as above.
Topping For Maple and Bacon Cupcakes
1/2 cup maple syrup
1 pkg of cream cheese
Whisk well and spread over the top of the cupcakes. Take the left over bacon and top the Maple and Bacon Cupcakes with it.
Topping for Peanut Butter and Jelly Cupcakes
1/2 pkg of cream cheese
1/4 to 1/2 cup of preserves, choose your favorite
This say 1/4 to 1/2 for the preserves, depending on how much of a cream cheese flavor vs the jelly flavor over the cream cheese. Whisk together well and serve over the Peanut Butter Cupcakes.
