Orange Peppered Steak
1 pkg of steak, I use the thin cut steak
3 oranges, juiced
1 tablespoon of pepper
2 teaspoons of salt
1 pkg of frozen Japanese vegetables
1 tablespoon of olive oil
1 tablespoon of flour
1 tablespoon of water
3 tablespoons of soy sauce
3 tablespoons of teriyaki sauce
Lime Rice
1 cup sushi rice
2 1/2 cups water
juice of a lime
2 tablespoons of butter
2 teaspoons of olive oil
Slice the steaks into small bite sizes and very thin. Laying the steak down and slanted cut into small pieces works best. Pour a tablespoon of olive into a large pan, and add the steak. Salt and pepper the steak and pour in the juice of the 3 oranges, 3 tablespoons of soy sauce, 3 tablespoons of teriyaki sauce and 1 tablespoon of water. Continue to cook on medium high heat. When the orange juice is reduced to almost a sauce add in the Japanese vegetables and sprinkle in the flour. Reduce the heat to low.
For the rice you can stick to plain or use the lime, even add some teriyaki sauce to it instead. Melt the butter and olive oil together then add the rice and coat well. Next add in the lime juice, toss the rice around for about 2 min and really let the lime juice seep into it. Then add in the water, bring to a slight boil reduce heat to medium, place a lid on and let it cook for 25 min. Check it occasionally to make sure that it doesn't burn, stir if need re-lid it and let it finish cooking. Once done top the rice with the steak and eat up!
